  1. Yunxin, as I said over email last week, I think you could have done a lot more with the drawing to make it a compelling city! Having seen what others in the class did, I suspect you now understand what I mean. Also, you didn't do anything to correct the discrepancy between the perspective on the buildings on the left and the perspective of those on the right. My favorite part is the cylinder on the right -- you did a great job sighting the shape of the circle on top, and the dramatic shadows are very mysterious.I hope you'll work on this drawing more to bring it all the way to completion.

  2. This is a really interesting take on the assignment, I love the choice to do a bird's eye view of the buildings! The ones on the left are pretty convincing, could probably do with straightening the edges. I enjoy the texture of the page as well.

  3. I like the mood in your drawing very much. Everything is shrouded in fog. But I think maybe you can add more details. I noticed that the shadow direction of the building on the right is different. Are there two light sources in your painting?

  4. I personally think your city looks very different than others, which I like a lot. More importantly, I think your road layout is very different than others, which reminds me of a fairytale city.

  5. Your style is always unique and i really appreciated. However, the perspective seems a bit off to me. If you intend to make them parallel to each other. All the vertical lines should be paralled.

  6. I love the atmosphere of your city! The texture of your shadow is so unique! But I think the buildings on the two sides are not in the same view point, and the perspective is not very accurate, may be you can modify them a little bit.
