Taylor, what a way to end the semester! I really love this piece. I agree with Ally's comment about your restraint; you could easily have gotten carried away with all kinds of color here, but you rightly put your faith in the power of simplicity. The whole piece is wonderfully rhythmic and dynamic, but in a very subtle way. While the music was not nearly as subtle as your piece, the intensity of all the little lines gives the whole thing a charge. And I actually like that the black background came out uneven. This gives that background a spatial aspect it wouldn't have had if it were solid, and it also adds to the movement of the whole. I hope you're happy with how this came out -- I can tell you put tons of time into it, and it's so very different from what you usually do. Great job!
