Selina, I love the way the linear and geometric components came out -- there's so much rhythm and movement in there, and the whole thing is very evocative of music. It looks like you even put some texture in some of the shapes -- little dots, perhaps? That looks great, as it makes that area even more complex. I agree with the comments about the mismatch between the mood of the music and the mood of your piece. Maybe a darker purple for the wavy lines would help with this. While I wouldn't have thought the wavy lines would have worked here, I do think they work -- quite well. The only thing that bothers me is the white background. It just seems like that should have been covered with a light but vibrant color -- yellow, perhaps. I can tell you spent a lot of time on this -- I so appreciate the attention to detail! Terrific piece overall.
