Vivian, this was a hugely ambitious piece, and I think it came out very strong. I'm not sure it was clear to the other students that the heart and brain are sculpted elements -- this seems to really matter. During the critique I found myself wondering if the composition would be stronger if you placed the two pieces side by side and had a third panel in the middle where the Chinese and English get scrambled. As you have it here, the presentation looks very cool and cerebral for some reason. Maybe this wasn't your intention, but letting the heart and brain interconnect somehow (in an entangled middle panel) would lend the whole a mood of chaos and conflict. But if that's not what you want, perhaps just try placing the two pieces side by side and see if it reads differently. Very strong work overall, and I'm glad some of the other students got the nuances of your meaning.
