Yunxin, what a strong piece! I love the strings on the ballerinas, and the way you've framed the piece with that curvy edge is terrific. I do wonder about the house, though. Is that a necessary element? I think it would be more compelling if there were more empty space on the stage. Also, the perspective on the building is off, which has an annoying effect. Let's see what can happen if you get rid of the building and put something smaller there.
Wow, what a nice mix of delicate detail and strong shapes! The narrative comes across well, yet remains mysterious-- is it a puppet show or are there real humans being controlled by metaphorical strings? I like how the left foot merges with the tree, adding ambiguity. I think the shapes at the bottom are a little distracting, it may be nice to distill them a bit to reflect the shapes at the top instead. Great work!
Rhett, this is such a strong composition! The ballerinas, the strings, what you've done there is awesome. I do agree with Taney in that maybe you could get rid of the house and add something smaller there, or an ambiguous object, your choice. But overall a phenomenal piece!
I could read your message of this very well, it seems like folks have been controlled by others in a bad way. I personally think this is a very strong piece and visually I think it's very visually striking.
I like how you present your work with the puppet and I can really image the story behind it. There is only one thing that the house like image on the right looks a bit weird to me.
It is really a creative work! I can see curves, hard lines, and geometric shapes in your work. It is so interesting to look at. But maybe the square on the right is too big. I suggest that you may cut a cloud on the right, to create a negative space of the cloud in the square. overall, I love your idea so much!
What an interesting piece!! I love the ballet dancers, they are so vivid. But I think the objects are too much, maybe you can remove the house to make this image look more mysterious.
this piece is so interesting I see people being hung by the joints to perform and I feel like the meaning could be women being forced to put a show on for people to watch or this could be telling a story. great job at cutting everything out
