Vivian, I love the concept behind this piece. That ghostly figure is so striking and unique. Something you may want to consider is using a sharp metal object (end of paintbrush, flathead screwdriver) to go back into the scribbles and scratch some pastel off to create white marks. I think that may help everything unify more. Again though, great piece and great concept!
Vivian, one more thought that I had was that when you go back in to strengthen the background you could choose some dark hue (blue? purple? green?) to be the dominant hue among those colors. This would change the tone of the piece from a fanciful kind of image to a more brooding and emotional one.
the colors are interesting vivian. this is a great idea. i think it would be cool if the colors represented part of your personality in a way. it would be interesting to see the colors that represents you could be in the eye color so its showing you soul in a way because its said that the eyes are the window to the soul
I love the idea of your piece. It gives me a feeling that you are struggling for something. Maybe you can exaggerate the gesture of your hands to show a stronger emotion. Great work!
