Miki, I really commend you on the use of pastels in this piece, I know they can be tricky! They are so smoothly applied, Vermeer would be proud! I feel like you are a time traveler, catching the girl off guard to take a selfie. Maybe it would be neat to push some movement into your hair at the right side of your head.
Miki, as I said in class, your use of the pastel is most impressive. The only thing I would add to what I already said is to say that I agree with Ally -- if you let your hair fall with a little less stiffness in the middle of the drawing it might make that area more dynamic. Good job overall!
this was such an interesting image to create. i think this is fun. if i am correct this is your first time using pastels and that is very impressive and did a great job. something that could maybe help the picture is if the other girls hand was smaller or maybe even dainty which could help it. or maybe if the hand was closer to her facial skin tone
